About Us

Who We Are

We are a Christian community welcoming all as we seek to grow in faith and serve others. We are a congregation striving to respond to God’s love made real to us by the mystery of Christ’s life, death and resurrection. We seek the healing power of God’s presence though community worship: in Word, prayer, music and silence. We are a More Light congregation, one that dissents from the national church’s efforts to restrict the participation of lesbian and gay people in church life. The mission of More Light Presbyterians is to work for the full participation of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people of faith in the life, ministry and witness of the Presbyterian Church (USA). We extend to every member the right to hold office as an ordained Pastor, Deacon or Elder, if called or elected by the congregation.

We are led by a Session of seven members and our body and souls are nourished by the work of our board of nine Deacons.
